6 Hot Spots In Chicago with OpenTable

Dolce Italian Salad

Chicago is a city that is known for its food! It is where foodies can come and get everything from world-famous ramen, locally brewed coffee, to mouth-watering smoked meat all on the same block. Sometimes, even as a local, it is hard to decipher where to go for lunch, brunch, or dinner. Don’t worry – with the help of OpenTable, I have narrowed down six of the hottest spots you MUST TRY in Chicago.
These six restaurants not only take home the award for some of best food, but their interiors are outfit inspiring. Each with their own aesthetic, I love to create an outfit to match that dining experience. From a sultry dinner to a sophisticated lunch, these hot spots go hand-in-hand with fashion and food.

The Perfect Brunch Look!
Before we jump right into the food, I wanted to share some of my favorite brunch looks that are quick and easy. When it comes to brunch, I love to find fun outfits that can carry you throughout the day, but more importantly are comfortable. A good pair of denim is always key, but I also love a good flowing dress. Throw on your favorite leather jacket and go-to handbag to bring this brunch outfit to life.

Headquarters Beercade (HQ) , located in River North, offers an afternoon of gaming, brunching, and some seriously unique cocktails.  I love taking a group of friends to this hidden gem on Institute Street for a fun brunch experience. Make a competition out of it or eat your way until noon with their scrumptious Tex’s Toast, Quiche or Classy Joe. I also have to recommend their crazy signature Bloody Mary’s that are piled sky high with out of this world charcuterie.

Lunch With a View!

For those who aren’t trying to game their way through brunch, I highly recommend dining at Travelle. Their lunch menu is exquisite and so is their view! Attached to the infamous Langham Hotel, this is the place that I love to bring my family who is visiting from out of town. For a warm start, the Field Squash Soup with pears, granola and cranberries is delicious for cooler days. You cannot go wrong with any of their sandwiches, for a heater lunch the Prime Beer Burger with mahon, dried tomatoes and pepper aioli will leave you stuffed!

One Dinners, Two Dinner, Three Dinner, FLOOR!

Dolce Italian, located in River North, is my newest favorite spot. For a quick lunch or dinner with a group – everything on the menu is sure to satisfy. Their food is a work of art! My absolute favorite is the Spaghetti Al Pomodoro served with fresh meatballs, san marzano tomatoes, and parmigiano. It’s oh-so filling! It comes to life on the plate and is almost too pretty to eat. It is truly a fresh take on timeless classics.

Maple and Ash is perfect from the moment you enter their doors. Located in the Gold Coast, get whisked away in their interior as you make your way up to the main dining area. Don’t pass up the chance to see their exposited wood-burning fireplace kitchen. Feed your nostalgic side with their Baked-In-Coals French Onion Soup with bubbling gruyere and sourdough croutons. Or, show off your sweeter side with their Sundae, which is serviced with toppings on the side you can add to your liking. It’s the perfect way to end a meal!

Del Friscos is my go-to for a date night spot. My husband and I love this savory spot for our night away from the kids. We honestly ordered the entire menu! For sides, Potatoes Au Gratin and Maquw Choux Corn, and for the main entrees a delicious Wagyu Longbone and Lobster – YUM!

STK is a great place for drinks and a girl’s night! Open late, this place knows how to get the party started and turn your dining experience into a mini club setting. They offer an amazing DJ, which compliments their signature cocktails and menu items.  The food was beautiful! They truly outdid themselves with the Broccoli Salad, Lobster appetizer, Duck and more.

Late Night Looks:
Now, the question that remains is what do you wear? For dinner find a few of my favorite looks that are perfect for date night, girls night out, or a family feast. For the cooler months it is all about the layers and transitional outfits. I love these looks because you can wear them to a gala and then out to drinks. Chanel lego bag
