We’ve been kicking off the summer with romantic lace and bold colors, but on chillier days an oversized sweater makes the coziest option. If we know anything about Chicago, it’s how much the temperature fluctuates so when it comes to sweaters, you can never have too many!
I love this burgundy Acne Studios Oversize Turtleneck. From the contrasting horizontal cable knit + vertical jersey knit to the large bell-sleeves and spit turtleneck, this sweater is all in the details. Unusually constructed knitwear is huge for 2016 and this turtleneck is right on point.
Since my Acne Studios turtleneck is the focal point of this look, I kept the shoes and pants fairly neutral. I paired this sweater with my Zara Super Skinny Jeans I talked about in my previous post. These have recently become my go-to jeans because of the fit and edgy yet modest style. For the shoes, I went with a pair of Gianvito Rossi suede heels. The crisscrossed style of the straps and the pointed-toe give make this heel elegant and sexy.
Finally – the accessories! Because this sweater is so chunky, I wanted pieces that wouldn’t be too distracting. I opted for an understated pair of Lana Jewelry Exposed Hoop Earrings and my adorable Chloé mini cross body bag. The python-black leather combo give this look the perfect pop of color and texture without becoming too overwhelming.
