Driven Women Driving For A Cure

DRIVING FOR A CURE – Men may claim to be superior drivers to women, but if I know anything about the ladies of Chicago it’s that we take to the road in style. Thanks to Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Gold Coast I was able to not only give back to an amazing cause, but also fulfill my lifelong dream of driving a Rolls-Royce “convertible too – light blue.”
In association with St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, the Rolls-Royce dealership hosted a lovely afternoon of English tea service with some of Chicago’s most influential and driven women. After learning about the luxury car’s heritage and the astounding Memphis research hospital’s work, we took the cars for an unforgettable test drive around the Windy City. And of course we took driving in style to a whole new level.
For this event, I wanted to wear something new that would go with my little something borrowed + blue! I opted for a crisp sleeveless white peplum blouse from Giambattista Valli. I loved how the blouse mimicked a high-low dress as the peplum ruffle got longer in the back. For an added touch of sophistication, I added a large chiffon scarf around my neck and tied it into a loose bow.  If you ever need to dress up your look, do this with just about any simple blouse and voila – you’re set for a tea party!
To contrast the refined look of the blouse, I wanted to pair it with something that would add a bit of edge and sass to my look. And what better way to do that than with a pair of distressed H&M denim jean shorts?! Now feeling like a combo of Elizabeth Taylor and Daisy Duke, I threw on a pair of Sophia Webster black suede booties with my Hermès Black Leather Kelly Bag. Finally – you can’t drive a stylish car without an equally stylish pair of Céline oversized sunglasses!
While my drive around Chicago was a once in a lifetime experience, being able to give back to the patients at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital was truly rewarding. Thank you to Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Gold Coast for this amazing opportunity!
