Happy Monday, Babes! I hope you all had a fab weekend. Sundays aren’t usually my favorite but rather an unfriendly reminder that Monday is right around the corner. With that said, last night was not too bad. I picked up a bottle of my favorite Chardonnay and cuddled up on the couch to watch the Emmy’s (more like watch my favorite stars strut down the red carpet).
While I usually don’t keep score, this year’s red carpet was EPIC. Here is a list of my absolute fave looks from last night. I hope you enjoy!
Best Feathered Look: Zoe Kravitz
Wearing Christian Dior
Leave it to Zoe Kravitz to pull off a dress like this. The fun and frilly elements of the skirt balance out the edgy top extraordinary well. This dress (and Zoe) is stylish from every angle.
Best Red: Nicole Kidman
Wearing Calvin Klein by Appointment
It’s a no brainer here, Nicole Kidman looked radiant last night. The contrast of that classic deep red against her porcelain skin was nothing less than divine. Now babes, I just have one question: How can I make an Appointment with Calvin Klein?
Most Magical Look: Thandie Newton
Wearing Jason Wu
Thandie Newton looked elegant as ever in Jason Wu. From the blush color that matches effortlessly with her skin tone to the subtle sparkle, Thandie was a vision. She went soft glamour to remind us of her femininity while she plays a fiery robot in Westworld.
Best Silver: Sarah Paulson
Wearing Carolina Herrera
It would be easy to get swallowed up by a dress such as this, but the lovely Ms. Paulson stands tall in this hypnotic silver ensemble. Her simple makeup and accessories keep all the focus on this Carolina Herrera masterpiece and the elegant beauty that is Sarah Paulson.
Best Tulle: Mandy Moore
Wearing Carolina Herrera
This dress is to die for. I am obsessed with the tight, sleek top that transforms into the most gorgeous layered tulle I have ever seen. Not to mention her loose updo and girly pink lip are the perfect accents to a standout dress.
Best Symmetry: Jessica Biel
Wearing Ralph & Russo
The sheer and shine of this dress is heavenly. Jessica, Ralph & Russo you have all outdone yourselves. The open back was the perfect combination of sexy and sleek and the silver and nude colors complement one another beautifully.
Best Nude: Yara Shahidi
Prada did an impeccable job of adding the perfect amount of color and shine to a simple and timeless nude gown. The light blue/green sheen adds the perfect pop to such a soft and dreamy nude dress.
