FALL TREND: COLOR BLOCK

Color Block Dress

TRENDING THIS FALL: 70s STYLE COLOR BLOCK
It is time to stop and reflect on all of our favorite fall fashion trend: color-blocking ’70s style. Geometric motifs with familiar silhouettes – jumpers, A-line skirts, flared pants – capture the essence of this free spirit combined with sophisticated additions.
My denim-on-denim ensemble is guaranteed to make your traditional blue jeans jealous. This Multi chambray dress in indigo is from the amazing Phillip Lim’s 3.1 collection, which is a stand out piece perfected with geometric panels and contrasting denim fabric. You can never have enough denim, right? This starry-eyed AG Jeans denim jacket is such a fun way to give your outfit a little personality.
No outfit would be complete without the perfect handbag to match! I picked this blue over the shoulder classic Celine box bag in cobalt blue with gold metals to keep with the monochromatic color scheme of my outfit. Last but certainly not least, I needed a pair of standout shoes to complete my look. Azzedine Alaia designs intricate shoes that elevate any look to new fashion heights inspired by the aesthetics of Paris in the ’80s. These Paris black fold-over ankle booties will be my go to going out shoes this fall!

Because the outfit is such a bold statement within itself, I wanted to go easy on accessories. This outfit is the perfect way to take high fashion trends from #NYFW Fall runway collections, and transform them into real day-time looks.
