Farfetch and Yves Saint Laurent: Style Is Eternal 

Farfetch connects my wardrobe with luxury items and influential designers such as Saint Laurent. It is no secret that Saint Laurent is one of my favorite brands, and I adore designer Hedi Slimane as he continues to evolve this timeless classic. When creating new looks, I gravitate towards the famous words spoken by iconic designer Yves Saint Laurent, “Fashion Fades, Style is Eternal.”  Saint Laurent is known for their twist on French fashion and icon logo, which continues to be infused into key rock’n’roll inspired pieces. I, too, was inspired by Far fetch’s Saint Laurent page, and wanted to create a few “Style Is Eternal” outfits to share with you. With their assortment of edgy blazers, head-turn denim skirts, and an assortment of wide brim hats I had so much fun mixing and matching from their selection.

This first look is based on the iconic Saint Laurent Le Smoking tuxedo jacket. Again, this is not the first time I have paid homage to this revolutionary look. Inspiring women from Paris to Chicago, I wanted to put a causal fall twist to this classic. I started with the Saint Laurent “Iconic” smoking jacket, and paired it with a Saint Laurent abstract printed t-shirt. To keep it trendy and chic, I added Saint Laurent classic leather leggings with their black tribute sandals. To bring the outfit together, I added their nano ‘Sac Du Jour’ tote, which comes with a detachable and adjustable shoulder strap.

For the second look, I wanted key staple items that can have longevity in your wardrobe. I love investing in piece that can be worn and tailored to almost any outfit! I started this look with the accessories, a Saint Laurent wide brim hat in black with a grosgrain ribbon, and the ‘Paris’ ankle boots in black suede featuring a pointed toe and high stiletto heel. I cannot forget about my favorite nano “Sac De Jour” tote in black. I cannot get enough of this handbag – I need it in every color! To tie this outfit together, I went with the Saint Laurent mesh layered skater dress with a bow on the front for added detailing. The a-line shape skirt hugs the body just right, and the ruffle design can take this dress from the workplace to an evening out with the girls.

The last look is my favorite! The Saint Laurent denim black mini skirt is the right amount of edgy and contemporary. It engulfs the phrase “Style Is Eternal” in one complete piece! With silver zipper detailing across the front, the skirt hits your leg at a modest length. My next favorite piece of this outfit is the fringed western boots in black suede with an almond toe and a chunky mid-heel. To complete this outfit – I kept with the traditional Saint Laurent ‘Iconic’ smoking jacket over a classic short sleeve white cotton t-shirt.
