GT Fish and Oyster

Some of the best seafood in Chicago as well as one of the most creatively decorated restaurants I have been to; GT Fish and Oyster is the perfect spot for anyone looking for a great place to eat.
Its chic nautical decor creates a simple cuteness that still maintains a somewhat masculine presence. The anchors and boating-style decorations make it an enjoyable atmosphere for both men and women. It’s a great casual dining spot for family brunch on the weekend, but formal enough in the evening for date night with the hubby.
You can’t go wrong ordering the traditional seafood platter which comes with lobster, king crab, mussels, clams, oysters and shrimp. The fresh fish dipped into the homemade cocktail sauce is divine and a great appetizer. For my main dish I chose the savory Tuna Poke. The mix of mango and cucumber is so flavorful; it’s the perfect spin on your typical tuna dish. I wanted to beg the chef for the recipe so I could recreate it at home!
When deciding on what dessert to order I took our wonderful server’s advice and chose the peanut butter malt sundae. The rich creamy peanut butter paired with the chilled vanilla ice cream is a superb match. It was the perfect way to complete an outstanding meal.
