Haute Oscars at Nellcote

This years 2016 Haute Oscars event at Nellcote was full of high-fashion, decedent decor, and memorable Oscar moments. I had the honor of co-hosting this beautiful evening with seven other elegant women including Izabela Sloma, Erica Eckman, Heidy Best, Brett Firdman, Tiffany Louise, Tracey Campagna and Donna Hall.
We started off the evening just like the stars on the red carpet showing off our gowns. For my outfit, I wore this floor length Chloe embellished silk-chiffon gown in a deep navy. The detailing of this gown is everything! The gold chains around the neckline that wrap around the dress adds a level of fun to this runway ready look. I threw on this Oscar de la Renta rabbit run for warmth and texture. For the jewelry I wore Hermes bracelets, and earrings from Lana Jewelry to elevate and accentuate the detailing of the dress even more.
It was truly a night to remember! As we sat down to watch Chris Rock open to 88th Academy Awards, Nellcote’s Executive Chef, Anthony DiRienzo, started serving the first of our four courses. It was DELICIOUS! Beginning with a three piece amuse bouche of ahi tuna, lobster and hamachi, the second course was a beet salad with pistachios, salsa verde, smoked marisa and pink lady apples on top a bed of arugula. For the main course, Amish Chicken with swiss chard, black truffle, foie gras and chanterelle mushroom. Completing the course was a decadent chocolate Oscar’s themed cake filled with vanilla mousse, fresh blackberries, blueberries and raspberries from Sugar Hills Bakery. All was served with bubbly thanks to Moet!
