I promised to share some tips on how to find designer  pieces for a great price. Well, let me tell you, clothes hunting can seriously be somebody’s full time job. You always have to be on the look out because you never know what might come your way. So rule number one is pretty obvious – to find something you need to consistently look for something. I check my favorite websites at least once a day. If the piece is nice and the price is good you sure want to be the first one to spot it and add to your basket. Most of my friends after looking on eBay for half  an hour simply give up and never go back just because they couldn’t find anything right away. It doesn’t work like that. As much as we all wish that there is that perfect Chanel clutch just waiting for us to find it and pay 80% off the original price the chances are very low that that will happen after searching for only 15 minutes online, especially on eBay. Think of it as finding a perfect man – you can spend so much time looking but when you find one you know he was worth all the effort 🙂

I bought this baby Chanel belt at a vintage resale store in NYC and the Oscar de la Renta jacket transformed into a dress on one of the luxury consignment websites. I like to mix my vintage finds with pieces that just recently came out like these amazing Tom Ford padlock pumps.
