Fashion Week: A/W 2016

It is that time of year again, New York Fashion Week, and I am here with my top picks! Designers are showing off the hottest upcoming looks from their Autumn/Winter 2016 collections, and it is safe to say I am in LOVE. Fashion is constantly evolving, but it seems this fashion week was filled with right from runway looks straight retail. Michael Kors had select pieces called, “Ready-to-Wear, Ready to Go” that went on sale on MichaelKors.com that same day.
Here are some of my favorite looks and trends from this weekend runway:

Vivienne Tam used East Asian-Inspired prints for this years collection and they are beautiful! The embroidery work is unlike any I have seen recently, and I would love to wear these sophisticated and show stopping looks to a gala or event.

Altuzarra’s new collection is my inspiration for this upcoming winter. I am always wearing and talking about the importance of layers in Chicago, but this collect brought layers to a new level. Between the textures and color combos, it was a brilliant mix-and-match collection.

Alexander Wang did not hold back with the dramatic gothic inspired look. The designer booked Saint Bartholomew’s Church to show off this eclectic collection. However, it does looked eerily similar to Supreme.

Tommy Hilfiger’s collection was my favorite when it came to the accessories.

Rebecca Minkoff had a beautiful mix of casual day wear, winter layers, and evening looks. I loved it! The ’70s style was still taking over the runway and her collection showed a modern day version of this amazing era.
Overall, my top collections were Altuzarra, Alexander Wang, Nicole Miller and definitely Rebecca Minkoff.
