Pamella Roland
With Oscars just around the corner I feel like it is essential to review Pamella Roland’s collection. I think this New York designer has all chances for a major celebrity to rock one of her beautiful dresses on the red carpet. Her designs are pure luxury. I wish I had more occasions to wear sparkly gowns like that. Pamela was inspired by, well, New York, because how can you not be if you live and work in this amazing city?
I was also moved when in the end of the show Pamela invited her children to the runway. As a mother of 2 and a business woman I know that support of your family is everything on your path to success.
David Tlale
Another designer that celebrities should seriously consider to wear at Oscar’s or any other red carpet event is David Tlale. The collection started with very classic, feminine and conservative looks and gradually transitioned to the chic and daring gowns. The sheer dress with applique is soooo Beyonce, don’t you think?
Saunder
SAUNDER was a truly great show. The collecton was inspired by British TV drama “The Singing Detective” and I really liked the vintage theme that was everywhere from the location to the prints and fabric.
ART INSTITUTE
I pay a lot of attention to up and coming fashion designers because they are the new generation and make the future happen. Their designs are like fresh air – modern, sleek and sometimes risky. It was interesting to see works by not just one designer but 13 talanted students and graduates. Would love to come back to the show next year.
Who out of these 4 designers did you like best?
I love the elegant dresses form David Tlale! Great post!
Love love love that you shared images from David Tlale’s show!! His work was absolutely stunning. I think his designs would look magical and completely stand out on the red carpet! Did you get a chance to see Zang Toi’s collection? Also amazing, with so many dresses that would be Oscar perfection!
