#OOTD: Spring / Summer Color Trends

Whenever I think of spring, I think of pastels. Mellow yellow, rose blush, pale lilac, sherbet orange, and of course – baby blue. This may be a by-product from years of my mother forcing me to wear strictly pastel shades for three months, but regardless – I don’t mind it. However, this season’s color palette mixed our beloved pastels, with a combination of rich + muted shades. From dogwood pink to Kale green, it’s safe to say this year’s color forecast was spot on with the trend! The best part? These colors are reportedly looking hot for summer too!
I think mixing lighter shades with vibrant ones, really creates such a beautiful contrast. Which is why I paired this army green with royal blue + green embroidered jacket with my favorite Baby Blue Valentino Ballet Flats! First of all, embroidery / fringe / anything with a little Southwest flare is a huge trend this season. (And this baby doll tunic dress from Anthropologie is a must-have!). I love styling casual pieces, with dressier ones for chic everyday looks. Plus, I’ll do just about anything to wear these Valentino baby blues!
Side note: the baby blue Valentino’s are sold out :/ BUT I found a light pink pair for my pink ladies and a nude pair for my neutral girls!!
As most of you know, I am a huge fan of Hermes. So I decided to throw on this muted orange Birkin Bag! It comes in so many colors, is extremely durable, and is big enough to throw all your mommy crap in for day-to-day errands.
What are your favorite colors of the season?! Xo
