Star-Spangled Soirée

STAR-SPANGLED SOIRÉE – It is simply a known fact that the Fourth of July is everyone’s favorite summer holiday. Poolside libations, dazzling fireworks, and an excuse to blast American Idol’s Season 2 rendition of “God Bless The USA,” – what’s not to love?!  But while I love the classic backyard BBQ, this year I’m all about Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Trendiness!

Add twinkly lights for an evening party or baskets of flowers for a little color – either way this is the Instagram-worthy photo-op your guests are looking for.
 
Liberty Libations
Nothing says Happy Birthday America quite like celebratory cocktails! Just go on Pinterest and you’ll find hundreds of red, white, and blue beverages. But the key to a successful drink is all in the presentation. Pour your concoction into adorable mason jars, garnish with a few berries, add in a striped straw and voila – the perfect patriotic potion.
If you want to get really fancy, freeze small blueberries and raspberries into ice cubes for a little more fun!

Freedom Fringe
Let freedom ring with these adorable DIY garlands! Cut strips of red and blue bandanas, burlap, and lace and tie them around a string. This is so easy and adds a shabby chic vibe to the atmosphere. I can’t wait to see how these turn out!
