TOTAL FRINGE MOMENT – Fringe was one of NYFW’s biggest trends for Spring 2016 and it looks like choppy edges are still having their moment. Whether it’s a leather fringe handbag or a pair of sandals with fringe tassles – this trend is still hot this summer. This floor length fringe vest gives off total Coachella vibes and I love it! I paired it with Flying Monkey cropped distressed jeans, but if you’re going for more of a youthful festival look – a pair of white or blue cutoff jean shorts like these would be perfect.
For me, it’s all about mixing and matching different pieces to create style balance. Tucked into my jeans, I wore a YSL white blouse for a clean look. Since the vest is such a statement and is the focal point of this outfit, the simple chiffon button-down offers a crisp contrast.
Because I’m on the shorter side I always have an excuse to dress up a look, so I wore a pair of Tom Ford Leather Pumps. The yellow-gold hardware detail and the double ankle-wrap take a relatively casual outfit up a few notches (and inches)! While I usually like intermixing silver and gold, I decided to stay with the latter and don a Tom Ford white Python shoulder bag.
