If I could sum up my girls’ trip to Los Cabos in one word, it would be ‘magic’. It’s been only a few days since I got back and I am still reliving every single moment at The Cape, A Thompson Hotel at Los Cabos. I am seriously going through withdrawals without my girls, the sun, and mornings in bathrobes on our private terrace overlooking the water. Literally felt like a honeymoon with my girls – except with a lot more margaritas. Before I head back to the reality of carpools and art projects, let me bask in the memories of a much ~simpler~ time.
Before you book your next vacay, there are a few things you should know about Los Cabos:

  1. Los Cabos is the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula and is made up of the towns Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo (luxury resort heaven)
  2. Everything they say about the area is true: turquoise blue water, pastel sunsets, and the best margaritas you’ll ever have
  3. If you want to visit the South of France without going over seas, The Cape at Los Cabos is like a European summer resort

When we walked into the lobby of The Cape, we stood in silence soaking every detail in for nearly 5 minutes. To the point where the bell hop asked if we were okay. Everything about this hotel was breathtaking. The lobby, the service, the food, the pool, the margaritas, the rooftop bar, the mariachi band, the beach – did I mention margaritas? So yeah, to say we were living in the lap of luxury is the understatement of the year.
After we checked in, we made our way up to the top floor. But little did we know what we were about to experience: a 3-bedroom penthouse suite with a panoramic view of the sparkling turquoise ocean. I almost passed out. We immediately squealed like little girls and ran to check out every inch of our home for the next few days. We thought the fully-stocked in-room kitchen and bar was exhilarating, and then we stepped out onto our private 1000 square ft. terrace. I was never leaving.
The rest of our days consisted of mimosa mornings, laying by the pool, frolicking on the beach (literally), and the best massage I’ve ever had in my entire life. At night we’d make our way up to the rooftop bar for amazing signature cocktails, a LOT of unwarranted salsa dancing, and martini giggles with my best girls.
But I would have to say my favorite memory was the morning we decided to be spontaneous. We rented a 65ft YACHT  for the day and coasted around the Baja California peninsula. I might have been a tad hungover in the beginning (lol), but once we all got settled in – and I had cured my hangover with a little hair of the dog that bit me – it was perfect. We saw the Arch of Cabo San Lucas, dolphins, and the most beautiful sunset I’ve ever seen.
And back to reality. Thank you to everyone at The Cape and Thompson Hotels for the best weekend of our entire life. Don’t miss us too much because we’re already planning our trip for next year ;).
If you’re not already convinced, then just take a look at The Cape’s Instagram feed.
THANKS TO THE CAPE FOR TAKING GREAT CARE OF US 🙂 #collaboration
I wish every weekend was girls’ weekend. Do you babes have any fun trips coming up?!
