Chicago summers are quick and humid, which is why I always opt for colorful, flowy outfits like this black label floral dress from Akira. This dress is not only trendy, but makes for the ideal for summer weddings due to the modest length (that is also flattering to my height) and the high neckline with v-cut back. The detailing of the dress is exquisite! There are so many different ways you can add your personal style to this dress as well. Add in a chunky necklace or stackable bracelets – silver and gold both work well together with this floral pattern and colors. Did I mention how comfortable it was to wear all night long? For this occasion I wanted the dress to stand by itself, so I kept the accessories to a minimum.  For the shoes I wore Charlotte Olympia Dolly platform stilettos. These suede red pumps with the gold detailing are surprisingly extremely comfortable despite the intimating height. I threw on my favorite Chanel Blue Boy Flap Bag, and spent the rest of the evening dancing!
