Chicago Bucket List: Holiday Edition

Cue Mariah Carey and Deck the Halls because the holidays are just around the corner and Christmas music will be playing on 93.9 MY FM starting tomorrow! And everyone knows once the radio starts airing our favorite holiday tunes, the season is officially in full swing – despite this year’s uncharacteristically warm weather.
There is truly nothing better than Christmas in Chicago. Aside from the below freezing temps, the Windy City comes to life with holiday spirit. From the iconic and extravagant Window Displays on State St. to horse drawn carriage rides with hot chocolate down Michigan Avenue – no one does winter quite like Chicago.
With so many options, you have to whittle your list down to the must-sees. But how can you possibly choose?! Luckily, I’ve put together a list of my family-friendly favorites for you guys!
Without further adieu, I give you My Chicago Bucket List: Holiday Edition.

On the 41st floor of Chicago’s Swissôtel, Santa Clause has made the Presidential Suite his official Windy City home-away-from-Pole this holiday season. From December 3 – December 23, there will be guided tours of the magical Santa Suite conducted by Santa’s elves, a letter-writing station for leaving holiday wish lists, complimentary treats, and a sweet keepsake for all of the children on the Nice List!

Christmas Around the World at Museum of Science & Industry

Full Disclosure: The Museum of Science & Industry might be one of my favorite places of all time! I have been visiting the Christmas Around the World Exhibit for as long as I can remember and I hope my kids can pass this tradition on to their little ones too. The Museum’s 45-foot Grand Tree is surrounded by more than 50 smaller trees and displays presenting the cultures and holiday traditions from around the world. It is seriously breathtaking.
