The Little Black Dress is a coveted piece in every fashion girl’s closet. Trying to look classy for a wedding? LBD. Trying to get your flirt on at a first date? LBD. The LBD can literally do no wrong. But, you can only wear be photographed in something so many times before the inevitable: outfit repeater status. Now I am all about maximizing your outfit usage. However, there is a right way and a wrong way to do it. The key is to accessorize. Adding pops of color and unexpected textures can turn your LBD into a whole new look.
Last week, I hosted a private brunch at Blue Door Farm Stand with 40 of my best babes for a little celebration. We were celebrating something BIG so when I went to slip on my favorite LBD, I opted for boots that would make a statement. And my goodness did these Dolce & Gabbana boots do just that. Talk about unlikely textures! Between the jacquard floral print, emerald snakeskin heel, and jeweled buckles, these boots are the definition of a statement. Sometimes I just stare at them sitting in my closet. But they are too beautiful not to be appreciated! Unfortunately these babies are one of a kind, but I linked some of my other fave statement shoes below.
Even a simple (or not so simple) shoe choice can make a huge difference in your look. Maybe it’s a Python Skin Chanel bag or a chic All Saints Moto Jacket, regardless adding that extra oomph to your LBD will really help up your game, ladies.

Boots are to fall as Givenchy furry slides are to summer: absolutely essential. Last year, the fall shoe trend was championed by none other than the fabulous Over The Knee. Luckily if you invested in a pair of these thigh hugging boots, they’re just as prevalent this year along side some new contenders.
It’s safe to say the designers were not afraid to get creative this year. From ankle boots to bold patterns, this season is all about making a statement. As I am a firm believer in that one can never have too many shoes, I’m using this as an opportunity to step up my shoe game. And you should too!

There are two types of people in this world: those who wear ruffles and those who don’t. Have you ever met someone who was indifferent about ruffles? If so, I’d like to meet this person. Because most of the ladies I encounter feel v passionate about their opinion. There is no casual acceptance when it comes to this matter.
If you’re new to my blog, first of all, welcome! Second of all, it’s important that you know how strong my adoration for ruffles is. I mean, what’s not to love?! The feminine design detail is romantic and flirtatious without forging from their uber-luxe and elegant roots. Since the beginning of time ruffles have stood for stature and sophistication.
Last season, ruffles were everywhere: hemlines, necklines, sleeves, pant legs, you name it. What velvet is to fall/winter, the ruffle is to spring. But since I am a strong, independent woman that wears whatever she pleases, I’m taking the ruffles trend right into the fall. Because there is only one way to wear ruffles: with confidence.

Okay, but really. This. Gucci. Bag. I’ve owned a few Gucci purses in my day. Alright, I take it back. I’ve owned more than just a few (lol) in my day, but this one may take the cake. Definitely my go-to purse for the season! First of all – it’s big enough to fit all of my crap AND it looks undeniably chic. The gold studs add a little edge to an otherwise elegant purse. It’s a spin off of the classic quilt-pattern with geometric shapes and lining.

Luckily a lot of our spring pieces can easily transition into the coming months, BUT only if styled the right way. Every summer, there are a few trends that always make their way into my closet: the fanny pack, bandanas, etc. But this year’s summer must-haves might take the cake. The PINK sneaker is the white gym shoe’s fabulous, but down to earth, younger sister. Still perfect for a casual daytime look, now just with a little sass. Adorable with summer dresses, distressed jeans, or mini skirts, the pink sneaker is IT this summer.

I usually like to keep my earring choices pretty simple – a classic gold hoop or diamond studs – but the tassel earring trend is too fun to pass up. Tassel jewelry is having a serious moment right now, so jumping on board the trend is pretty much a no-brainer. Plus, what’s not to love?!

Okay it’s true one-pieces have been around for a little while now. However – before, it felt like only the sexy strappy ones were fashionably acceptable. Which don’t get me wrong, I still think are FIRE. But, the most recent styles are still sexy without feeling like a borderline stripper. One-shoulder ruffles, small cut-outs on the tummy, or straight up Baywatch one-pieces are in – perfect for me and all my fellow mamas!

Flatforms are probably my favorite trend right now. They give you the height, without the pain of heels AND are an upgrade to the typical sandal. Plus they go with essentially any outfit. Lunch with the girls, date night, vacation, you name it! I am flatform obsessed.

This pointed-toe luxe velvet pair is to die for. Not only are they the perfect piece to dress up denim or a little white dress, they are also perfect for chillier season!
