Earlier this week, I had a holiday luncheon with some of my favorite gals from my PR team, MDPR! The city was covered in a blanket of snow and FREDS at Barney’s New York was the perfect backdrop to our merry celebrations. I wanted to be festive since after all, it was a holiday lunch! But regardless of the Holiday, it was still just lunch, so I didn’t want to go over the top!
I decided to go for an all black look with festive accents. These Rag & Bone leather pants are so hot right now. Not only are they uber trendy, but they’re also incredibly warm. I’m obsessed! I decided to pair them with these insane Jimmy Choo over the knee boots which I found super discounted on the Real Real (score)!!! Jimmy Choo + sale = one VERY happy lady!
As a base I wore a turtleneck by Intermix under this awesome feather moto jacket by Ralph Lauren. I felt that the feathers were so fun for a Holiday lunch, more so than a plain black jacket. It’s the perfect combo of glam + sass with leather details and a cropped fit.
To add some color and a little holiday POP, I accessorized with this amazing red Gucci bag that my soul sister, Shai brought back for me from Europe! With the dollar to euro conversion at the moment the savings are unreal! So thanks Shai for being my personal shopper!!! To add a little more tinsel to the tree (so to speak), I wore these awesome new Miu Miu glasses with red accents. This really pulled together the red bag and added some extra fun contrast against the all black look! I felt warm, cute and festive… but not too festive… wink wink.

From shoes and purses to legging and dresses, velvet has taken over the fashion scene in just about every form. There’s just something about the luxe fabric that can make any piece look elegant and totally chic. Since the 1400s, velvet has been worn as a symbol of royalty because of it’s unusually soft fabric and high-cost of production. But once again, fashion has outdone itself and managed to reinvent another classic trend.
If you’re looking for a new way to wear velvet, this crushed velvet Opening Ceremony blouse is the perfect alternative. Most of the time, velvet feels more like a special occasion fabric. But recently, the rich material has made the transition from evening apparel to everyday looks! The oversized structure pairs great with leather leggings, jeans, or even tucked into a mini skirt.
I opted for a pair of light wash jeans from Zara (obviously!). The distressed denim + luxe velvet combo creates a chic contrast to neutralize the look. However, I knew I wanted to dress this up a bit more, so I slipped on these Gucci Suede Fringe Loafers! The light pink coordinates with the mauve as an accent color and the little gold G’s are adorable.
For accessories – you can never go wrong with a cute over the shoulder purse, a pair of oversized sunnies, and understated jewelry! While this look would have looked great with a black fringe hobo bag, the gold snake skin in this Gucci purse adds a little more dimension to the look.
And how awesome are these vintage sunglasses? The white detailing on the frames are so chic. I didn’t want to overdo it with statement jewelry, so I went with my go-to Lana Jewelry pieces: thin gold hoops and a delicate chain necklace.

As of late, I’ve been all about the trends. And according to Vogue, Leopard Print is fall’s fiercest trend. It’s no surprise that the animal print is the go-to for bold statements and a don’t-mess-with-me kinda vibe.
Powerful women have been donning leopard (faux or not) since the dawn of time to radiate their uber-driven and chic attitudes. So when I found this killer Emilio Pucci Leopard Print Jacket, I knew I had to have it. Lined with black leather trimming and gold zipper details, this garment can dress up just about any lazy day outfit. It’s a statement in itself!
To test out my theory, I donned one of my favorite pairs of Zara distressed jeans and a black cotton tee: simple and understated. When I threw the leopard print topper, my whole look was transformed from drab to fab in a matter of seconds.
How cute are these Gucci Loafers? A spin off of the classic slip-on, these coral-colored Gucci’s are lined with fur for a sassy (and cozy) look. They are the perfect way to really step up any daytime or office ensemble!
Now on to the accessories. If you haven’t noticed already – I am a HUGE fan of Lana Jewelry. All of her pieces are so trendy and perfect for any look! This dainty gold chain necklace + large gold hoop combo is to die for.
Top it off with a bold red lip and you’re ready to take this fierce leopard print look to the streets! Remember – it’s all in the spots.

OLIVE COLOR…….Like clockwork each fall, the same colorways emerge after months of pastels and neutrals. Jewel  tones and earthy hues hit the stores in new silhouettes and styles. But my #1 pick for this season’s pantone palette would have to be Olive. The rich green shifts into a darker shade with grey undertones welcoming  the cooler weather.
While I am ALWAYS a promoter of vibrant colors being worn year round, this Zara Asymmetric Olive Top was too good to pass up. The high-low feature sets this piece apart from your average long-sleeve shirt. Plus, it is SO comfortable! Wear this with jeans and Adidas during the day or dress it up with leather leggings, booties, and a statement necklace for night time activities.
I opted for my favorite Zara Mid-Rise Skinny Jeans and nude Christian Louboutin Vienna Heels. The perfect dressy daytime look! Olive outfit combinations are best suited next to shades of marigold and gold. So I paired this outfit with this gold Mini Python Gucci Shoulder Bag. The gold gorgeously accents the olive and the snakeskin adds a little texture to this rather simple look!
Olive is a great color for all skin tones and skin types. Don’t hesitate to rock this earthy tone this season!

The jumpsuit: a delightfully chic solution to all of our lazy day problems.
Jumpsuit, overalls, playsuit, onesie, you name it – this trend has made a resurgence from the past and it’s time to hop on the band wagon. With all of these 70’s styles making a comeback, a groovy jumpsuit is only fitting. But designers have taken the neon spandex  faux pas and transformed it into pure fashion-forward elegance.
Not only is the playsuit a season must-have, but it’s also a perfect piece year-round. This adorable pair of 3.1 Phillip Lim Overalls are my current favorite. The silhouette is elongating to just about any body type! The convertible-ankle allows you to cinch the cuffs or let them flare out depending on the look you’re going for.  Slip these on over a tight turtleneck body suit for the winter or cool off with an off-the shoulder crop top  in the spring.
For a sexy and sophisticated look, I opted for a vintage-inspired Alexis blouse. With the subtle Victorian ruffle collar + dramatic flounce cuffs, this French lace tops adds delicate femininity to this jumpsuit. Since the lace-overalls combo already makes a statement, I decided on a more structured Hermes Birkin Bag. Smooth black leather and gold hardware in a trapeze style is a perfect everyday bag.
Since I wanted to wear a classic and sensible heel, naturally, I gravitated towards my gold Gucci loafers. Not only are they comfortable, but also undeniably chic! To finish it off, I slipped on my oversized Fendi sunglasses to complete this look.

Okay I’m sorry , but I am on a total denim binge right now! These distressed slim boyfriends from Zara are so dope and fabulous. Which is not typically a combination of adjectives you use together, but I thought this pair of jeans deserved it. Despite the baggier structure, the large rips reveal some trendy knee cleavage. And since they’re not as loose fitting as the boyfriend jean, they shape your booty just enough!
I’ve really been into pairing grungy pieces with more sophisticated + structured ones. This white Storets top is so feminine and classy. Between the girly collar, exposed shoulders and ruffles – I am in love. The Peter Pan collar has resurfaced in recent years making sweet dresses and (you guessed it) little blouses look adorably demure. You could wear this piece tucked into a leather mini skirt with a chic blazer and pointed-toe + studded flats for an office look. Then slip on a sassy heel, whip off the blazer and you have yourself a happy hour ensemble.
Shoes can really make or break an outfit. But of course, Gucci shoes only know how to kill an outfit – and I mean that in a good way. These Gucci Pearl Studded T-Strap Pumps are to die for. The two-tone suede + snakeskin body is the perfect combo of sassy and chic. Topped off with the scalloped edge detail, glass-pearl studs, and gold feline head – this shoe is a masterpiece.
For the handbag – I went with a neutral purse and opted for my go-to Chloe Drew Mini Python Shoulder Bag. The python + black leather combo plays off of the two-tone look of the shoes bringing out the textures. I finished off this look with these awesome Gentle Monster sunnies! Since this outfit is mainly white and black, the purple shade adds a pop of color and the retro cat eye is fabulous.

I’ve always been a sucker for a good denim piece. Whether it be my favorite pair of jeans, cut off shorts or a denim dress like this one, I’m going to wear it ALL the time. And the best part? Denim will never go out of style.
I found this Gucci denim dress last year on a great sale and practically live in it. It’s the perfect way to dress up a more casual daytime look. The length is perfect and the oversized button detailing adds a sophisticated flare. Plus, the mix of light + dark wash denim gives the structure more  dimension.
Part of why I love this dress is because it is so versatile. Since I wanted to take it in more of a casual direction, I paired this piece with my new favorite sneakers from the Josfinas x Patricia Chang collaboration. How adorable are they?! I am absolutely obsessed with them. A blend between nude and pale pink, these tennies match just about anything. And the baby blue pom-pom is so chic and girly.
Since I already opted for a statement shoe, I kept the rest of my accessories neutral with this Chloé Faye Bag and a fun pair of sunnies! The snakeskin + suede combo on the purse adds the perfect amount of texture.
Want to dress this look up a bit? Slip on a heeled bootie + a top handle bag would make for a fabulous happy hour look!

While I always love adding little feminine flares to my rather edgy look, sometimes you just want to feel like a girl and nothing else! And that is exactly what I did when dressing up for the Milly show at New York fashion Week. Because nothing says “girly girl” quite better than a shade of pink, pretty bows and little hearts!
The dress I chose was a light pink Simone Rocha that finished just above the knees and I was feelin’ pretty in pink! In fact, it’s not just the color of the dress that I love, but it’s also the unique cuts and shapes that make it oh-so-fabulous. The cross body sash, loops and flaps transform the crisp corporate silhouette into something that’s a lot more fun and glamorous. Also, that little bit of embroidery on the flap covering the left shoulder proves how in the world of fashion, less is more. Besides, embroidery and embellishments are a hot trend and I absolutely love it.
To the ladies who think hearts are for teenage girls who read Nicholas Sparks novels and doodle “Mrs. Gosling” in their composition notebooks, I say think again. You don’t have to be young to pull them off, just confident in yourself. Which is why I’m obsessed with this magenta Gucci Marmont Shoulder Bag! Because of its bold color and design, this statement piece works best when paired with a dress that has minimal color to make it stand out even more. And come on, this bag is so adorable!
For the feet, I thought these muted gold Gucci block heal would be a great fit. Plus my feet enjoyed the break! The Mary Jane style makes the look tilt completely towards retro. Not to mention, the dull gold color plays off of the gold hardware on the handbag. That kind of stylizing is essential– if you’ve got metallic textures and guess in your handbag and footwear, they should ideally match.
To top off this princess-worthy look, I wore a white lacey Yunotme headpiece and made NYC my runway!

This year I had the honor of being selected as one of CS Magazine‘s Women of Style! To say that this experience was humbling is an understatement. Over the years I have learned that style is so much more than being up to date with current trends or putting together a fabulous outfit in moments. It’s about being comfortable in your own skin, charismatic in your presence, and confident in yourself.
To recognize the Women of Style, there is an annual dinner in which all of the honorees attend and celebrate the year’s additions. The whole night, I was gushing with love and respect for the women surrounding me! Held at Trump Sixteen, the event was gorgeous.
I wanted to walk into the event as myself with nothing less than panache so I opted for a peach-beige Balmain gown with a lace-up detail all the way up the front. The sleeves dropped a bit past my shoulders and two loosely tie bows draped off of them. I opted for Gianvito Rossi black suede gladiator heels and a Gucci handbag. Topped off with my Cartier Love bangles, I felt like a Women of Style.
I just want to send my heartwarming gratitude to CS Magazine and all of the other honorees – I am truly amazed by all of you. In a city with such a powerful amount fabulous individuals, being one of six chosen to join a lineage of Chicago’s most influential women is an absolute privilege. And one I will wear with pride.

Trends may come and go, but being true to yourself never goes out of style.

It was ruffle mania with this fun and flirty look. Coming off of my couture-filled week at NYFW, I was feeling funky and fashion-forward last week at The Langham Hotel. It’s safe to say that I am obsessed with this Milly top. Let’s start from the top: the off the shoulder ruffle top is undeniably chic. The bell sleeves hang loosely off the arms and the baby-doll body is the perfect combination of flirty and sweet. Personally, I am all about the off the shoulder trend – it just proves how sexy a little décolletage can be.
Now these pants are the real head-turners. Much like the old saying – business in the front, party in the back – these pants say, “business on the right, fiesta on the left!” With a ruffle detail lined by mini white pom-poms making their way down the pant, these pants are the definition fun. While these two work perfectly together, they are also chic pieces on their own.
For a pop of color I opted for this little pink Gucci bag. Since the rest of this look was dark, I thought a lighter shade of fuchsia would add a nice feminine touch. Finished off with my go-to Chanel platforms, I took my NYFW inspiration to the next level.
